The Lens of Our Times

Hello, I’m Ellen! I love capturing moments in time, framing the world through my camera eye.

I have always had a passion for stories. Seeing the world through many different perspectives — “lens”. I’ve branded my work as “Zeitgeist Lens” because zeitgeist is “the defining spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time”. Through my photography, I hope to share a story, a moment in time, that really connects with the soul. Makes you think, makes you feel something. Humans are all about feelings, emotions, and through my work, I hope to capture that, to frame that feeling, that moment, for years to come.

I love to take photos of artists, performers, sharing their true stories in front of an audience — diving deep into the realm of emotion, of feeling, that really moves each soul that comes and listens. From musicians to improvisors, actors, I love to frame those moments, preserving the energy so it can be revisited for inspiration, comfort and uplift.
