Welcome!
Hello, all! I’m Ellen Stair, and I’m a photographer, writer, and filmmaker. I tell stories through visual media.
I shoot with a Canon Rebel SL2. I mostly document live music/concerts, nature and wildlife, people, places, and events. My goal is to preserve moments in time, framing them like a time capsule.
Time is fleeting. It’s always moving, always changing. It’s here one day and gone the next. I’m creating this website as a way of documenting each moment I experience. From the people I meet to the places I visit, it would be nice to have something to look back on in the future.
I graduated from Walsh University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. Visual media, telling stories for film, television, news/journalism… It’s who I want to be. I love to document, and share what I experience with the world around me.
My goal is to create a place where folks can visit and learn a thing or two about the world.
Thank you for discovering this little oasis during your Internet browsing. I hope you’ll stick around and return from time-to-time.
Here’s a little ‘About Me’, I love live music. I love local music. I love supporting my community, by going out and hearing their stories of uplifting hope, optimism, peace, and love.
Some of my favorite artists are:
Nate Vaill/A Band Named Ashes, JD Eicher, Lauren Brabson, Zach Freidhof/Zach & The Bright Lights, Doug Kleiner, and Twenty One Pilots. I really love the folk, alternative, rock genres. I love stories. I love immersing myself within a world and spending time getting to know the artist singing about that time, that moment, from their heart. I can connect to those folks easily, they just embody love. They encourage and inspire all who listen to be the best version of themselves, to love themselves, and take care. They make me feel less alone. It’s a blessing to know such wonderful human beings.
I love being outdoors, hiking in nature. Being still, and listening to the sounds that surround me. From birdsong symphony from treetop high to rushing river… Hiking in the woods is where I go to feel at home, grounded. It’s a nice escape, a recharge, from the week. Gives me the courage and the confidence to pick myself back up again and continue my journey.
I love exploring. Discovering new things, learning about the people and the places of the times… That will always put a smile on my face. There’s always more to learn, more to discover, and more to explore. Fills me with purpose to go out and create and share my stories of adventure with the world.
Some basic information about who I am:
I’m 30 years old, I was born on July 18, 1995. My pronouns are (she/her).
I’ve been interested in photography/visual media since high school. I attended Archbishop Hoban. My dad was a photographer, he focused on wedding, event, and portrait photography. I think that’s where I developed the love and the “eye” for it. I’ve always loved to write, though. Hopefully this’ll become the home for lots of my writings, my poetry, my musings as I travel throughout life having adventures, and connecting with so many amazing people!
